Dara Gibbs brings a rare blend of discipline, creativity, and deep industry perspective to her role as Marketing Manager at Slick Rock Tanning & Spa, shaped by decades of leadership across wellness, customer experience, and brand growth.
Dara holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Sacramento, and began her career while simultaneously running a two-location Taekwondo studio as a certified third-degree Black Belt instructor. For 12 years, she led the business under a partnership, building strong communities rooted in confidence, consistency, and personal growth. That foundation naturally led her deeper into the health and wellness space, including a role as Director of Sales & Marketing for a high-end sports club, where her passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin truly took hold.
Her career also spans eight years as a Marketing Director in the banking industry, extensive experience in the customer experience space, and nine years as Vice President of Client Services & Operations for an email marketing agency where she helped small- and mid-sized brands grow strategically and meet ambitious financial goals. Dara had been a Slick Rock member for more than three years when the opportunity to join the team arose, and the decision was clear. Returning to the wellness industry felt like coming home, and a place where she could invest the rest of her career making a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Dara finds her grounding in nature. She enjoys hiking the lakes and trails of North Idaho with her husband and dogs, reading and hosting a book club, spending time with family, golfing, skiing, boating, and simply being outdoors. Nature is her happy place… and North Idaho offers plenty of it.
